I’m Amber Jones. I create strategic websites that help small businesses get found, stand out, and grow.
As a former 20-year-marketer-turned-website-strategist-designer-copywriter, it’s been an interesting journey…so far.
In 2002, I started my career as a Marketing Assistant at a mortgage company. It paid the bills as I learned how to market in the “real” world. I still cringe when I think of the hundreds of red, plastic fly swatters I mailed out to prospective clients with the tagline, “Let me take a swat at your mortgage needs!” (Bad, I know. It wasn’t my idea.)
After a layoff during the 2007 mortgage crisis, I landed on my feet as the in-house designer at a public policy think tank. I learned the intricacies of print design and worked with the brightest minds I’ve ever met.
Over twenty years, I built a successful career as a strategic marketer + content creator + sales enablement specialist + “go-to” problem-solver who loves a challenge.
I built online marketing strategies for small and mid-size companies
I developed libraries of sales materials for strategic Sales teams
I worked side-by-side with Sales pros to land million-dollar deals
I learned strategic sales techniques that convinced people to buy
At every point in my career, I created marketing strategies and content that helped mid-to-large sized corporations sell their services and products.
And I loved (almost) every second of it.
I had this nagging feeling…I wasn’t built for the corporate world, long-term. The red tape and corporate politics were creativity killers.
Now I work with solopreneurs and small business owners who love what they do and would rather risk it all than spend one (more) second in a gray, corporate cubicle.
